Manure Handling Specialist

Job Description:

Describe the general purpose of the job; why the job exists. (Job’s purpose to the department/organization). This is an hourly non-exempt position reporting to the Operations Manager. Operate and maintain equipment related to manure transfer application across the operating locations. This position may perform minor repair tasks to include mechanical and assembly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

List the jobs essential or primary duties and responsibilities.

  • Duties will include direct responsibility for manure application, maintaining a comprehensive set of records, and ensuring proper calibration of application equipment.
  • Working knowledge of application equipment. Fundamental working knowledge of regulatory requirements for nutrient management, application rate calculations, calibration calculations, record-keeping, and manure sampling protocols.
  • Knowledge, awareness, and adherence to the policies governing safety and environment.
  • Assist with farm and application equipment maintenance program.
  • Represent RBraun Inc., in a professional manner at all times
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Education / Training / Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Agriculture industry helpful. Should have a working knowledge of farm operations
  • Manure application and transfer systems
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds with 50 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment required
  • Excellent communication skills required.

Painter/Blaster

Job Description:

This position is responsible for painting parts and equipment or blasting parts and equipment in preparation for paint.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating painting equipment to paint parts and or blaster/blasting parts prior to paint
  • Moving parts and materials by hand and forklift/skid steer
  • Perform start up and shut down operation of painting and blasting system as required
  • Assist Paint or Blast as necessary
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Education / Training / Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Painting/Blasting experience in an industrial environment preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds up to 1/3 of the time
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment required

Agricultural Service Technician

Job Description:

An Agricultural Service Technician is responsible for completing the following duties:

  • Perform quality mechanical work assigned by service manager in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist service manager by advising customers of necessary agricultural equipment service repairs and makes recommendations to customers for preventative maintenance.
  • Assist service manager with customer complaint problems pertaining to service and repair work.
  • Maintains in good condition all service tools and service vehicles.
  • Responsible for the safety and maintaining a safe working environment and reporting all accidents to the service manager immediately.
  • Document on work orders all work performed while repairing agricultural equipment.
  • Document all parts used while completing any repair job.
  • Record all labor hours worked on work order.
  • Inspects all completed mechanical work prior to turning in work order to the Service Manager.
  • Recommends new shop equipment which will cut costs in shop and speed up work or which will give the customer more complete coverage.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Agriculture industry or knowledge of farm operations is a must.
  • Fabrication and welding experience is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of product line, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Class A CDL preferred or willing to obtain.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Excellent attention to details.
