Assembly Mechanic

Job Description:

This is an hourly non-exempt position reporting to the Production Manager. This position will perform assembly of manufactured products (Hose reels, Dumpsters, Booster Pumps, Trailers and Tool Bars).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembles and connects hoses, tires, and frame assemblies.
  • May perform some fabrication/welding
  • May perform hand grinding after welding
  • Read and complete work orders
  • Represent RBraun Inc., in a professional manner at all times
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Education / Training / Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience and or training in assembly in a machine shop or other manufacturing factility or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to calculate weight and use to determine cost of shipping.
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds.
  • Must be familiar with common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck operator.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment required.
  • Excellent communication skills required.

Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Description:

This is an hourly non-exempt position reporting to the Inventory Manager. Responsible for verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Also, responsible for generating sales over the counter and providing excellent customer service to both external and internal customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information and merchandise promotions.
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise.
  • Participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock.
  • Responsible to make arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via shipping instructions.
  • Must report defective material or questionable conditions.
  • Responsible for maintain an adequate supply of shipping material on hand at all times. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company van.
  • Responsible for shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Must read customer, work and shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes item to shipping or to designated route driver storage areas.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or the shipping department.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Assists in counting of physical inventory.
  • Keeps end users appraised of incoming products
  • Utilizes UPS/Spee-dee software for tracking and reporting.
  • Processes all warranty issues that involve products we sell and materials we use.
  • Represent RBraun Inc., in a professional manner at all times

Education / Training / Experience Required:

  • Experience and or training in sales, shipping, receiving, agriculture or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Must be able to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock and register areas.
  • Knowledge of completing bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by major freight carriers.
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
  • Ability to calculate weight and use to determine cost of shipping.
  • Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds.
  • Must be familiar with common material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift truck operator.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment required.

Material Handler

Job Description:

This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Planner/Scheduler. The Material Handler utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment to move material to internal customers, from trucks and warehouse locations. May record flow information of materials and products. Performs a variety of tasks and works under moderate supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Follow all forklift operation and forklift safety rules
  • Load and unload trailers, when necessary
  • Utilizing BOMs and prints, keep fabrication, assembly, and paint supplied with proper materials
  • Communicate with supervision with any production issues
  • Empty all garbage containers regularly
  • Assist fabrication, assembly & paint personnel as needed
  • Fill out daily Forklift checklist
  • Fill in as necessary in other areas of the shop(s)
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor

Education / Training / Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior manufacturing and material handling experience preferred
  • Completion of PIT Training (Powered Industrial Truck Training)

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Production Supervisor

Job Description:

The Production Supervisor follows the direction of the Manufacturing Manager in organizing the daily work schedule and controlling the production activities of the manufacturing (Fabrication and/or Assembly/Paint) functions for the Fabrication and Assembly and Paint Shops to ensure that goods are produced, assembled and painted efficiently, on time and to standard.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall safety processes in Fab and Assembly shops.
  • Supervises Fabrication Team. May supervisor Assembly and Paint Shops. Develop and deliver employee performance reviews.
  • Coordinates Build Schedules with Planner/Scheduler. Executes the production schedule.
  • Works closely with the Lead Person, Burn Table employee and shop floor employees in gathering information and tracking progress against approved milestones. Monitors employee morale and advises management of issues and potential issues
  • Anticipates bottlenecks, clarifies project priorities, identifies risks, and escalates issues that cannot be internally resolved
  • Identifies, recommends and implements approved improvements to the production process
  • Ensures internal department workflow and tracking documents up to date.
  • Ensures the material resources required are present and properly staged.
  • Address shop needs such as tools, broken/replacement parts
  • Schedule PM for all equipment
  • Responsible for updates of Bill of Materials
  • Develops and documents standard operating procedures for Fabrication and Assembly
  • Prepare and maintain production reports as required
  • Acts as backup for POs and Airgas program
  • Represent R Braun Inc., in a professional manner at all times.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Management, Engineering industrial technology or equivalent work experience

  • Must be organized and possess strong attention to detail

A Manure Handling Specialist is responsible for completing the following duties:

  • Operate manure application and pump equipment safely and properly
  • Lead the application of manure by directing overall workflow of operations based on field readiness

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Class A CDL preferred or willing to obtain.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Cutting and shaping metal components utilizing various tools
  • Position and secure metal pieces using clamps, braces, and other tools to ensure they are correctly aligned before welding
  • Use various welding techniques MIG, TIG & stick, to join metal parts together, ensuring strong and durable welds
  • Inspect completed welds and structures for quality and compliance with specifications
  • Repair and maintenance existing structures and equipment by removing defective parts and welding new ones in place.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Education / Training / Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
